While blog hopping this evening I ended up at Between Naps on the Porch.....Oh my you must, you just must go and see this!
A couple purchased an old church in Kyloe, Northumberland, restored it and are now living in it!
It is totally breathtaking!
Can you imagine living here between these hallowed walls?
Look at the floors and the stained glass and ohhhhh loook up at the lighting!
Max Lucado said in his book, The Great House of God,
"Make it your aim never to leave God's house. When you're worried about your bills, step into God's kitchen. When you feel bad about a mistake, look up at the roof. When you call on a new client, whisper a prayer as you enter the office, 'Thy kingdom come to this place.' When you're in a tense meeting, mentally step into the furnace room and pray, 'Let the peace of heaven be felt on earth.' When it's hard to forgive your spouse, pull out the check of grace God has given you."
Living in this home wouldn't that be a simple thing to do! I know actually living in a home isn't what Max was talking about but I am thinking of the symbolism of what he is saying....I mean who would ever want to leave this house? Who wouldn't want to go into the kitchen or look up at the ceiling in this home......Isn't this how we are supposed to see our relationship with Christ? Get it?
If you want to see more of this breathtaking home visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch!
Hope you enjoyed.......

This is a beautifully restored church in the North East of England. I do feel sad that yet another church is being sold off though. I guess it just doesn't feel right to me.

I agree, it is sad that a church is being sold, I am just thrilled that it is being preserved instead of being demolished.
