Biography

I am a happily married mother of 2. I have one grandchild who is the light of my life! He lives with us, so you will be hearing lots about DYLAN.
I live the kind of life that a few of you may dream about but few of you can even imagine.
We live in a remote area in Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains. My dad, my grandpa and my great grandpa were born here. There are more deer here than people! NO KIDDIN! 6000 people in the whole county. My graduating class was 12! I felt so deprived as a young teen I couldn't wait to get out of here but I had no idea how lucky I was. After living a hectic life in Florida for 13 years We decided it was time to take my husband to a place where he could relax, where I grew up. Home Sweet Home in the mountains of Arkansas.
It is a wonderful place to live. The pace of life is slow and just plain GOOD!
People from this area have been called hillbillies for as long as I can remember but I just call them Survivors. People here didn't care about education a few generations back. What was important to them was owning the land and the livestock that they would need to survive. To live here and survive here for generations has been hard. These people grew up growing what they eat or going hungry. They grew up with extended familes all living in a one room cabin. They grew up working the land that they hold so dear, men and women and holding on to that land no matter what. I am proud of where I came from. You don't find people as kind and giving as these folk just anywhere. When you drive somewhere everyone you pass waves like they know you. Even if they don't. We live in a town where everyone knows everyone. It is such a good feeling going down to the little Cafe and seeing people that you grew up with, that you went to school with and eating homemade Coconut Cream Pie. There are no stop lights and only one stop sign! It sits in the beautiful Buffalo River Valley and to me is the most beautiful place I have ever been.
